Educational Background and Professional Qualifications:
Professor Dr. Md. Mohiuddin completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1981 from Kushtia Zilla School and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 1983 from Kushtia Government College. He pursued his MBBS at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal, graduating in 1990.
In 2007, he obtained his Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopaedics from the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR). Seeking further specialization, he completed a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Ganga Hospital, India, in 2014.
To enhance his expertise in hip and acetabulum surgery, he underwent specialized training in Chicago, USA, in 2017. His outstanding contributions to the field were recognized when he was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) on October 4, 2021.
Professional Experience:
Dr. Mohiuddin began his medical career as a Medical Officer (1991–2000), serving in various Upazila Health Complexes across Bangladesh. In 2007, he joined Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as a Registrar in Orthopaedics, a position he held until 2009.
His dedication and expertise led to his promotion as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics in 2013. In 2018, he was further elevated to Associate Professor, and in 2023, he achieved the prestigious rank of Professor at NITOR.
In July 2024, he took on the role of Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Dhaka Central International Medical College.
With decades of experience in orthopaedic surgery, trauma management, hand surgery, and pelvic and brachial plexus surgery, Professor Dr. Md. Mohiuddin remains a highly respected figure in his field, dedicated to patient care, research, and medical education.

PROFESSOR DR. MD. MOHIUDDIN passed S.S.C in 1981 from Kushtia Zilla school and H.S.C in 1983 from Kushtia govt college. He completed his MBBS from the Sher e Bangla Medical College, Barisal. He passed with the batch 1990.
From 1991 to 2000, he worked as Medical Officer in different Upazillas of Bangladesh.
Then he completed his MS in Orthopaedics at the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in 2007. In 2007 he joined DMCH as Register (Orthopaedic), he continued as Register (Orthopaedic) up to 2009.
He has successfully completed his Fellowship in 2014 from Ganga hospital India.
He completed the training on hip and acetabulum surgery from Chicago, USA in 2017.
On 4th October 2021, he was elected as the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
